MetroStarSenior Software Engineer II
Designing and developing enterprise - grade ServiceNow applications focused on Software Asset Management. Contributing to operational excellence and mentoring junior developers.
About the role
- Design and ship new integrations with data providers (REST APIs, webhooks, SQL databases, custom solutions)
- Improve integrations framework and infrastructure (account authorization, rate limiting, request queueing, data file ingestion and serving)
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, partnerships, customer success, and sales to understand customer needs, respond to feedback, and measure success
- Debug, maintain, and iterate on existing integrations end-to-end
- Partner with product managers and customers to design and deliver customer-facing features and fullstack data enrichment user experiences
- Ship code frequently that unlocks customer use cases and support other engineers on the team
Requirements
- Experience with APIs (building integrations with 3rd party APIs or building public APIs)
- 2+ years of hands on software engineering experience building world-class products and shipping quickly
- Empathetic communicator; able to explain technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences and mentor peers
- Familiarity with (or ability to learn) Typescript, Node.js, AWS Lambda, SQL, and React
- Bonus: experience designing scalable distributed systems (rate limiting, queueing, serverless, data ingestion and serving)
- Bonus: understanding of sales and marketing workflows and familiarity with sales and marketing APIs
- Legally authorized to work in the United States (application asks)
