About the role

  • Software Engineer II developing applications leveraging AWS, Node, and React at Travelers. Responsible for contributing to automated pipelines, API development, and supporting high performing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to high quality, automated pipelines for applications and data transformations.
  • Support and develop API interfaces.
  • Leverage AWS technologies to enhance and support resilient and high performing applications and data stores.
  • Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions with a high degree of accuracy and speed, operating as an individual contributor to team goals.
  • Perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of advanced complexity and escalate appropriately.
  • Work independently to tackle well-scoped and loosely scoped problems.
  • Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five years of programming/development experience preferred.
  • Geospatial concepts or demonstrated working experience is a plus.
  • ETL experience, including Databricks.
  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.
  • Two years of programming/development experience.
