MetroStarSenior Software Engineer II
Designing and developing enterprise - grade ServiceNow applications focused on Software Asset Management. Contributing to operational excellence and mentoring junior developers.
About the role
- Join one of Jerry.ai’s engineering pods (core app, retention, automation) based on interests and skills
- Write production code early and ship regularly with your team
- Work closely with product to deliver user-first features
- Contribute to scaling the app from 5M to 50M users and improving performance and reliability
- Build and maintain frontend and backend systems using React/React Native, NodeJS/TypeScript, and AWS
- Support infra and data efforts using Go, Python, Docker, CI/CD, Redis, Postgres, DynamoDB, and Clickhouse
- Collaborate on AI/ML integrations, Python pipelines, and LLM-related features
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or graduating soon)
- Internship, co-op, or side project experience is a plus—but not required
- Eagerness to learn, build, and grow
- A love for learning; comfort with ambiguity; hustle and curiosity; pride in building high-quality, user-first software
- Located in the SF area / Palo Alto or willing to relocate (application asks about Toronto/SF)
- Authorization to work in Canada or US (application asks this) and visa sponsorship status disclosure
- Familiarity with frontend: React, React Native
- Familiarity with backend: NodeJS and TypeScript
- Experience or familiarity with AWS, Go, Python, Docker, CI/CD
- Experience or familiarity with data stores: Redis, Postgres, DynamoDB, Clickhouse
- Experience or interest in AI/ML: Python pipelines, LLM integrations, internal models
