About the role

  • Lead product development milestone deliveries for software
  • Work in an Agile environment and support PI planning
  • Manage software releases and content, including JIRA Epics and Stories
  • Manage software interface definition between suppliers and requirements in JAMA
  • Conduct design reviews with interfacing Ford activities and supplier engineering
  • Lead traceability evidence from suppliers linking specifications, requirements breakdown and test cases to DFMEA controls
  • Lead software release process and software change management
  • Manage engineering changes via JIRA, DCRs, cost approval, and software release in JFROG
  • Provide vehicle build support (Software Release Package, configurations, BreadBoards, HIL, Development builds, Pilot builds)
  • Lead supplier activities to diagnose bugs, determine root cause, resolution, and verification
  • Identify and escalate critical delivery gaps (expose in JIRA)
  • Perform Customer Acceptance Testing
  • Lead software quality/warranty analysis and corrective actions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related foreign equivalency Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 3+ years of product development experience in the automotive industry
  • 1+ years of experience with CAN tools such as Vector or Etas
  • Experience with Agile environments, PI planning, and managing software releases
  • Experience with JIRA (Epics, Stories), JAMA, and JFROG
  • Experience with DFMEA traceability and safety-related requirements
  • Experience with vehicle testing, HIL, breadboards, and development/pilot builds
  • Supplier management experience including diagnosing bugs, root cause analysis, and verification
  • Experience performing Customer Acceptance Testing and warranty/quality analysis
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States (verification required)
