About the role

• Software Development Engineer designing and implementing AS400/IBM i-series solutions at CVS Health. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting testing, and driving technical innovation.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements solutions in AS400/ IBM i-series by applying advanced technical expertise in SYNON/ Advanced RPG programming to architect and code software applications
• Conduct system testing and debugging
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of core engineering projects
• Writes and executes comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging
• Troubleshoots issues to ensure reliability, stability, and high quality of core application
• Participates in agile or other development methodologies
• Proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of core application.
• Explores new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team.
• Creates and maintains technical documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years enterprise / web / cloud applications software development experience
• 3+ years of experience in Developing Java applications in Spring boot, Spring MVC
• 3+ years of experience in Creating Angular / React JS UI Applications
• 3+ years of experience in Building APIs and services using REST and JUnit Testing
• 3+ Automation technologies (e.g., Maven or Gradle, Jenkins, etc.)
• 3+ Building, testing, and deploying code to run on Google cloud infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience in Scrum/Agile development methodologies
• Interested to learn and work on AS400/ RPG/ SYNON.
• Adept at growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
• Exposure to product/services development and public cloud environment like AWS/GCP/Azure
• Education Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.
