Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer at Arcadis responsible for leading local projects and managing team capabilities from design to construction. Role demands technical expertise and project management skills.
Responsibilities
Utilize expertise and technical knowledge of water/wastewater evaluations, design & construction to serve as a Lead Technical Designer, Task Manager and/or Project Manager.
Develop project scope, budgets, and delivery schedules for each assignment, ensuring tasks/projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
Participate in industry conferences/associations at the local, state, and/or national level via committee memberships, presentations, and/or leadership roles.
Participate in marketing and business development activities for the water/wastewater market in the region.
Works with other senior staff to manage clients in the region.
Coordinates execution of projects with other disciplines.
Develops small to large design projects from inception to completion.
Prepares construction packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water wastewater systems for clients.
Create and manage cost estimates and project schedules.
Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff.
Maintains Arcadis’ standards and specifications for municipal water/wastewater design & construction projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related field of study
10 years of progressively responsible experience
Licensed Professional Engineer
Staff development and supervision skills; including mentoring junior-level staff.
Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.
Client relationship skills: including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful record of accomplishment, delivering a variety of engineering projects that meet or exceed the expectations of the client.
Ability to travel 10% - 20%.
Experience in water/wastewater plant/facility design and construction administration/oversight projects.
Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
