About the role
- Senior Water Resources Engineer at LJB Inc. leading planning and design of civil infrastructure projects effectively. Seeking candidates with extensive experience in water resources and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of a wide range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects, including stream and wetland restoration, dam remediation, FEMA floodplain analyses and permitting, culvert and bridge replacement, stormwater planning and design, watershed studies and asset management, site/civil development and public utility design, programmatic engineering support.
- Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept development through final design, permitting, and construction support.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive engineering solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent software
- Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (2D modeling experience preferred)
- Familiarity with GIS tools and applications is a plus
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management regulations
- Experience with ODOT standards and hydraulic-related pre-qualifications is desirable
- Ohio PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
