About the role

  • Lead the planning and design of a wide range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects
  • Stream and wetland restoration
  • Dam remediation
  • FEMA floodplain analyses and permitting (No-Rise, LOMR, CLOMR)
  • Culvert and bridge replacement
  • Stormwater planning and design
  • Watershed studies and asset management
  • Site/civil development and public utility design
  • Programmatic engineering support
  • Manage and deliver engineering projects from concept development through final design, permitting, and construction support
  • Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables
  • Interface with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including CAD designers, EITs, and GIS technicians, to develop comprehensive engineering solutions
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
  • Travel occasionally to client sites across the U.S. as needed
  • Approach complex engineering challenges with creativity and problem-solving
  • Maintain composure and professionalism under high-pressure or fast-paced situations

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or equivalent software
  • Strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (2D modeling experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with GIS tools and applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater management regulations
  • Experience with ODOT standards and hydraulic-related pre-qualifications is desirable
  • Education: Required: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in water resources; Preferred: Masters degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Water Resources; Ohio PE or the ability to obtain within 6 months is required.
