About the role
- Design and guide the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions and platform architecture
- Provide deep technical leadership and strategic guidance across engineering function
- Drive architectural decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to support product features and enhance development efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key Engineering and Product stakeholders to align on technical direction
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architecture and design
- Provide thought-leadership as part of the feasibility process in Product lifecycle and influence technology investment decisions
- Responsible for Research and Development (R&D), Proof-of-Concept (PoC) and Proof of Value (PoV) initiatives
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving the Developer Experience (DevEx)
- Own the innovation agenda with CTPO to future-proof GFS solutions and investigate emerging technologies
- Champion and drive the adoption of AI tooling and other automation initiatives in the Software Development Lifecycle
Requirements
- Expertise in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems
- Proven ability to lead technical direction and influence cross-functional teams
- Deep knowledge of software development principles, patterns, and practices
- Experience leveraging AI development tools (Cursor, CoPilot, Windsurf) is a major plus
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba)
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, building CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, scripting and Infrastructure-as-code
- Good knowledge of security best practices, performance optimization, and system reliability
- Proficiency in multiple relevant programming languages, frameworks, and architectural tools (e.g., UML, C4 model)
- Deep knowledge of Open-Source Technologies, Microsoft .NET, various Database technologies, Microservices Architecture
- Proficiency in Core Java programming language and Web development (e.g. Vue.js, Angular, Spring Boot)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to mentor and upskill engineers across levels
