About the role
- Senior Systems Engineer providing systems engineering support for helicopter training system project. Managing engineering services and aligning with project leadership objectives.
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering support of the Synthetic Training Environment for the Helicopter Aircrew Training System Project
- Manage all aspects of engineering services delivery for the project
- Manage and execute Engineering Change Proposals
- Understand customer needs and perform requirements analysis and elicitation
- Develop and maintain engineering baseline documentation
- Conduct and document technical investigations
- Track engineering KPI and system health indicators
- Oversee and manage a through life obsolescence program for the Synthetic Training Environment and ICT systems
Requirements
- Qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science and/or other related field
- Eligible for recognition by Engineers Australia (IEAust) or equivalent
- Experience in electrical, electronic, communication & information technology systems
- Experience within a simulator, aviation or other tech environment
- Practical knowledge in system engineering processes & activities & software configuration management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Strong customer relationship management
