About the role
- Software Senior Engineer working on automation tools for Dell's AI-ready storage solutions in Bangalore or Pune. Collaborating on design, implementation, and quality assurance for large-scale storage systems.
Responsibilities
- Help shape the vision and deliver on the next generation of automation and tools for the NAS suite of products
- Maintain automated processes, virtual and hardware infrastructure; monitor systems and troubleshoot failures for large scale distributed storage environments
- Contribute to the design and implementation of tools, processes, and infrastructure to support Continuous Integration pipeline
- Implement company standards and practices to ensure quality and security by code by reviewing, providing feedback, and improving solutions
- Learn and share knowledge on hands-on sessions and by maintaining documentation
- Represent the organization on project teams and perform technical project leadership roles as needed
Requirements
- 5-8 years of Software Engineering experience in Python and experience in networking and vCenter preferably for large scale distributed environments
- Extensive database knowledge and experience in CI/CD tools
- Experience in applying SRE practices to automation frameworks, infrastructure management, monitoring, and troubleshooting, using tools such as Salt, Zabbix
- Knowledge of Linux, Docker, shell scripting
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL administration and queries, as well as LDAP directory service would be a plus
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
