About the role
- Product Engineer overseeing the technical lifecycle of screening and biomass handling products for Valmet. Collaborating with global teams and providing engineering expertise across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical lifecycle of the screening and biomass portfolio
- Lead or execute layout design and engineering phases using SolidWorks
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure technical alignment with customer expectations
- Support development of value propositions and participate in customer meetings
- Ensure economic considerations are integrated into engineering processes
- Manage and coordinate with subcontracted designers globally
- Provide site support during commissioning and installation phases
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
- Experience with modern engineering tools and PLM systems is highly valued
- Experience in engineering and product management for the process industry
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster seamless collaboration
- Excellent skills in MS office, particularly Excel
- Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in Finnish or other languages is considered an asset
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally globally
