About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building scalable backend systems for HitPay's APAC payments platform. Lead backend architecture, build financial tools, and mentor engineers.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop robust backend solutions for the HitPay platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and efficiency
- Lead the design and implementation of new business and financial tools, leveraging customer feedback and aligning with product strategy
- Solve complex technical challenges and enhance system stability and performance
- Collaborate on platform architecture, focusing on backend optimization and integration with frontend systems
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and mentorship to maintain engineering excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend web development
- Mastery of PHP, Laravel, and MySQL
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js (plus)
- Strong knowledge of API design principles and RESTful services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote-first environment
