About the role

  • Designing and executing test cases for complex features, covering both happy paths and edge cases.
  • Employing automation concepts and leveraging existing automation setups for efficient test execution and reporting.
  • Identifying and resolving bugs in close collaboration with developers and product managers.
  • Maintaining and enhancing testing documentation to guide future efforts and strengthen the team’s knowledge base.
  • Mentoring and sharing knowledge with less experienced QA(E) team members to promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Actively participating in planning and decision-making processes to align with the team's objectives and define quality goals.
  • Continuously assessing and proposing improvements to QA(E) processes and practices.
  • Managing 3rd-level support requests, collaborating across teams and departments to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assessing the severity of support requests and determining the appropriate ownership for resolution.
  • Execute test plans with a focus on automation and some manual testing to ensure product quality.
  • Work effectively within an agile team to maintain and improve quality processes and practices.
  • Supporting your team (cross functional) in implementing an effective day-to-day working life.

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of web technologies.
  • Solid experience in a programming language relevant to automated testing (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
  • Familiarity with QA(E) tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or similar.
  • Understanding of QA(E) best practices like BDD, ATDD, Exploratory Testing, Shift-Left Testing, and Page Object Models.
  • Experience with bug tracking and CI tools (e.g., Sentry, Grafana, CircleCI, Jenkins).
  • Understanding of performance testing and related metrics for web applications.
  • Prior experience with security testing and knowledge of the OWASP Top 10.
  • Strong cross-team communication skills for collaborative problem-solving.
  • Experience evaluating complex issues, prioritizing, and coordinating tasks.
  • Practical understanding of the software development cycle, emphasizing QA(E) practices.
  • Proficiency in Jira for issue tracking, test management, and collaboration.
  • Experience in third-line (Level 3) support and client issue troubleshooting.
