About the role
- Senior Platform Engineer designing and evolving the core systems for TruckSmarter's logistics platform. Collaborating on infrastructure and leading security initiatives while mentoring engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve the core platform architecture, including core application frameworks and abstractions, powering TruckSmarter’s systems.
- Build and scale the infrastructure that powers our traditional ML and agentic-AI systems.
- Build and maintain reliable infrastructure across AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, WAF, Redshift, DMS, and related services) using IaC (CDK, Terraform).
- Define and automate deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and observability frameworks.
- Lead security initiatives to ensure compliance, harden systems, and improve access controls.
- Mentor engineers on best practices in reliability, automation, and performance engineering.
- Drive incident response and postmortem culture to increase resilience and operational excellence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and scaling production infrastructure
- Strong background in AWS (ECS, RDS, VPC, S3, IAM, WAF) and IaC (CDK, Cloudformation, Terraform, or similar)
- Experience in fast-paced, startup environments where you’ve had to wear multiple hats
- Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js or similar back-end ecosystems
- Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end and mentor peers
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
