About the role

  • As a Sr Performance Analyst in our Enterprise Operations Analytics team, you’ll help shape the future of data-driven decision-making at BECU.
  • You’ll deliver predictive insights, automate reporting processes, and build dashboards that empower stakeholders to act with confidence.
  • Your work will directly impact member experience and operational efficiency, especially within Collections and Recoveries.
  • By translating complex data into clear, actionable stories, you’ll help drive strategic outcomes across the organization.
  • Design and Build Dashboards: Create and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting tools that visualize performance metrics and KPIs across Collections, Recoveries, and broader operations.
  • Deliver Predictive Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses and build predictive models to forecast member behavior, operational trends, and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Partner with business leaders to define KPIs, translate operational needs into data solutions, and align analytics with strategic goals.
  • Automate and Optimize: Streamline manual reporting processes using tools like Alteryx, SQL, and Python to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support Strategic Analytics: Provide analytical support across multiple lines of business, contributing to enterprise-wide initiatives and data storytelling efforts.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Validate data accuracy and consistency across systems, applying best practices in data governance and visualization.
  • Work in Agile Sprints: Participate in daily huddles, sprint planning, and mid-sprint demos to deliver iterative analytics solutions in a collaborative environment.
  • Leverage Advanced Tools: Use SQL Server Management Studio, Snowflake, Python, R, Power BI, and other platforms to extract, transform, and analyze data.
  • Conduct Performance Analysis: Perform trending, root cause, and gap analyses to uncover opportunities for improvement and drive operational excellence.
  • Support Research and Strategy: Assist in qualitative and quantitative research to inform long-range planning and product/service enhancements.
  • Communicate Insights: Translate complex data into clear recommendations that support strategic decision-making and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or other related quantitative field, or equivalent work or educational experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data mining, query development, or multi-system data integration required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial institution data analysis and reporting preferred
  • Extensive experience with modern analytics tools including Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL Server Management Studio, Snowflake, and scripting languages such as Python and R preferred
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to prioritize and solid time management skills required
  • Ability to gather pertinent data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, as well as formulate ideas and recommendations, required
  • Proficient verbal and written skills required to effectively communicate
  • Proficient math skills with a high degree of accuracy required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of internal customers required.
