About the role

Responsibilities
- Directing, planning and scheduling projects with the engineering staff
- Overseeing engineering department functions and managing employees and projects
- Developing project schedules and deadlines, determining project quotes and budget requirements
- Preparing reports, approving timesheets and expenses, reviewing and approving invoices
- Monitoring deadlines and progress of all projects, assigning tasks to maximize capacity utilization
- Coordinating meetings and communicating with internal departments and external customers
- Providing support to employees to perform their assigned tasks
- Guiding direct reports in the creation of their individual goals
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of wayside railroad or transit system signal engineering principles and concepts
- Strong knowledge of the application and design of wayside and crossing systems
- Strong MS Office computer skills and capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar degree or Six years of industry engineering experience
- Three years of supervisory experience
