About the role
- Senior Manager Cyber Security leading engineering teams dedicated to safeguarding Staples’ networks and data. Overseeing cybersecurity functions and representing objectives to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversees high-performing engineers responsible for core cybersecurity engineering functions such as Data Loss Prevention, AI Security & Governance, Encryption, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint, Cloud Security, and Edge Protection.
- Focus on implementing automation to improve operational efficiency and scalability, ensuring compliance, and assessing the security impact of new technologies and initiatives.
- Provide 24/7 operational support and incident response readiness.
- Distribute resources according to strategic and tactical goals.
- Manage ongoing training and development for team members.
- Represent cybersecurity objectives to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in security application development and architecture.
- Experience leading and managing a team of cyber security engineers.
- Experience with security tools such as Microsoft Defender & Purview, SASE & Zscaler, Qualys, SASE, CICD technologies, Akamai Security Portfolio
- Background in Agile development methodologies and experience with web/mobile application technologies.
