About the role
- Perform maintenance, remediations, and updates to mission critical applications supporting DCSA background investigation processes
- Provide architecture, development and cyber security support for High Value Assets (HVAs) within the background investigation system
- Support requirements elicitation, analysis, development, testing, and application level operational support for mission critical applications
- Serve as a member of the development team handling operational and maintenance (O&M) and enhancement initiatives
- Interact and coordinate with infrastructure, networking, security, and other support entities
- Use ServiceNow as the primary workflow management tool and Atlassian/JIRA for requirements tracking
- Develop software using Natural with ADABAS and maintain JCL for batch processing
- Develop and maintain software processes for file transfers using Connect:Direct and queues/flows using IBM MQ
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand user requirements and design solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's with 12+ years (or commensurate experience)
- 15+ years of experience on large scale applications on a mainframe platform developing in both a Batch and Online environment
- Expert proficiency programming in Natural using ADABAS
- Experienced in developing using Software AG’s NaturalONE Eclipse-based development environment
- 5+ years’ experience working with customers on defining requirements
- Expert proficiency working with customers to define requirements
- Strong ability to design solutions across multiple systems or sub-systems
- Demonstrated experience interacting with software application program development and management personnel
- Proficient in O365 components to include Word, Excel, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- US Citizenship and ability to hold a TS Security Clearance
