About the role
- Work on development and enhancement tasks using Magento 2 framework
- Analyze existing applications: code, workflows, and integrations
- Write technical, functional, and process documentation
- Implement new features and resolve existing defects
- Work on performance improvements of applications as needed
- Take ownership of applications end-to-end and liaise directly with clients to clarify requirements
- Provide daily status updates to clients and leads
- Undergo required certifications if not already completed
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
- Identify, assess, and report security risks and enforce key information security practices
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Magento2 and MYSQL
- Strong in using knockout JS
- Experience in customizing frontend themes and customizing modules to customer requirements
- Experience in customizing catalog / checkout / payment / shipping processes in Magento
- Sound knowledge of MVC Architecture, design patterns and ORM
- Capable of writing complex SQL queries
- Very good knowledge of REST API
- Deep functional understanding of past projects
- Well versed with continuous integration tools and code repositories
- Experience of working in Magento cloud environment (nice to have)
- Strong communication skills
- Good experience in Agile methodologies
- Expected to undergo Magento certification if not already certified
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted ensuring compliance with data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Identify, assess, and report security risks impacting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Promote and enforce information security best practices (acceptable use, malware protection, password security)
