About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and delivery of technology strategy, working closely with senior stakeholders and the Architecture Lead
- Set and maintain architecture roadmaps, guardrails, and patterns ensuring alignment with business and technology goals
- Provide strategic oversight and governance for major transformation initiatives
- Mentor and develop a team of architects, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
- Represent architecture in executive forums and influence senior decision-making
- Build and maintain relationships across business, engineering, and technology teams
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry trends and bring innovative thinking
- Champion agile ways of working and support iterative delivery
Requirements
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
- Strategic experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and hybrid hosting
- Strong background in API design, microservices, and modular applications
- Experience with data strategies (ETL, modelling, governance)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and technology sustainability
- Experience in digital transformation, payments, retail banking, and large-scale change
- Proven ability to set architectural vision and influence at senior levels
- Experience leading and mentoring architecture teams
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for executive engagement
