About the role
- Senior Encore Developer responsible for maintaining and enhancing Encore Teller applications for Overseas Military Banking Program. Collaborating in a small team to support global banking operations.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the Encore Teller and Sales & Service applications that serve the Overseas Military Banking Program (OMBP).
- This role focuses on ensuring application stability, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing incremental improvements to meet evolving business needs.
- The developer will work independently within a small technical team supporting global banking operations across multiple time zones and environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in VB.NET, with working knowledge of VB6.
- Experience supporting applications in a client/server environment with SQL Server back end.
- Strong understanding of SQL development, optimization, and debugging using SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Profiler.
- Proficiency with Visual Studio IDE and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex application issues and deliver timely solutions.
- Familiarity with financial or banking systems, particularly teller and branch applications.
- **Desired Qualifications**
- Prior experience supporting or developing for the Overseas Military Banking Program (OMBP) or similar multi-region financial environments.
- Experience migrating legacy codebases (VB6 to .NET) or integrating with newer systems via web services or APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills, with an ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for analysis and reporting.
