- Collaborate with a cross-functional team on the team’s strategy, roadmap, and OKRs.
- Mentor other engineers by sharing best practices and writing high-quality code.
- Build and maintain observable, scalable, and resilient data services.
- Design and build evolvable and reusable data models.
- Champion software and data engineering best practices.
- Own the technical solution design for complex features and lead their successful implementation.
- Find opportunities to enhance business value and improve cost efficiency.
- Partner with stakeholders and other teams to define and deliver the right solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data engineering, including designing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and Python.
- Experience with data modeling and warehouse architecture design.
- Expertise in data transformation frameworks like DBT.
- Understanding of data ingestion, transformation, and ELT/ETL practices.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow and version control systems like GitHub.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Legal right to work in the position's country without requiring sponsorship.
- Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science or Software Engineering) is a plus.
- Familiarity with data integration tools like Fivetran.
