About the role
- Senior Construction Manager managing large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems in the renewable energy sector. Leading project teams to deliver on time, on budget, and on spec across the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team with end responsibility for safe, on spec, on time and on budget construction of large-scale BESS projects
- Project management – coordinate all project disciplines including planning, risk management, stakeholder management, HSSE & site management, interface management, QA&QC, permitting
- Acting as representative towards suppliers, contractors and local stakeholders
- Work with finance, contract management and commissioning colleagues to deliver the project
- Based in Amsterdam with work on site throughout The Netherlands
Requirements
- Proven track record in managing complex projects and managing suppliers & sub-contractors
- 15+ years of relevant working experience with at least 7 years as project manager in the (renewable) energy sector
- BSc or MSc degree in relevant discipline
- Experience with different types of contracts such as UAV-GC and FIDIC
- Excellent communication, organizational and technical skills
- Fluent in Dutch and English, German is a plus
- Willingness to travel (once every 2 weeks for a few days).
