About the role

Senior Commercial Counsel providing legal counsel and advice at FunPlus for Western markets. Collaborating with creative and operational teams in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Responsibilities

Work closely with your global legal team members and partner with FunPlus business teams in our Western markets to manage, negotiate, and execute a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
Support the management of our IP portfolio, IP matters and compliance, and related projects, primarily focused on our Western entities and markets.
Proactively manage the day-to-day operational, contractual, and IP needs of our Western entities and studios in Western markets.
Serve as a subject matter expert and provide both operational and strategic legal counsel on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all agreements, operations, and business activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal corporate policies and processes.

Fluent command of English (written and spoken).
5–8 years of experience in a comparable commercial legal function, preferably within the gaming, media, or tech industries.
Master’s degree in Law from a reputable European, UK, or US university.
Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across diverse cultures and functions.
Ability to simplify complex legal and business issues into clear, actionable advice and manage complex projects and negotiations while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
Outstanding written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external advisors.
Proven capacity to quickly research and assess novel legal issues, focusing on practical, business-oriented solutions while managing legal risk.
Strong interest in and understanding of legal issues affecting technology and gaming companies.
Organized, tech-savvy, self-driven, curious, and resilient, with high integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
