About the role

  • Senior Developer leading the implementation of CMS features and modules for Collective. Collaborating with teams while ensuring code quality and application performance in a hybrid setup.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of complex features and modules.
  • Develop CMS components.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Configure and assemble the CMS from a technical perspective.
  • Support other developers through coaching and code reviews.
  • Ensure coverage of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; collaborate closely with QA.
  • Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
  • Ensure optimal website performance, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Component architecture.
  • Template structure.
  • Performance optimization.
  • Code review.
  • Third-party integrations.
  • Coordinating release plans.
  • Identifying technical risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Effort estimation for user stories and tasks.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional experience in web development, with at least 2–3 years focused on CMS platforms.
  • Proven track record of leading or contributing to CMS migration, integration, or customization projects.
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in related positions.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Lottie Web animations, etc.).
  • React is a plus.
  • Knowledge of freetextmarkup (FTL) is an added advantage.
  • Fundamental knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of back-end development in TypeScript (Nest.js / Node.js / Java / Spring).
  • Experience with CMS platforms; Magnolia CMS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Git and GitHub with a strong track record of regular commits, pull requests, and active participation in code reviews is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.
