About the role

• Build DevOps Engineer for chorus offering at SS&C. Collaborating as part of a large build team across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources across multiple environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automating build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure uptime and availability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and cloud computing, and evaluate their potential impact on our infrastructure.
• Oversee parallel build for releases and client builds.
• Accountable for delivering solutions which support the business requirements, ensuring adherence to design and coding standards.
• Produce technical designs when required and review the technical designs produced by other staff, recommending improvements or alternative courses of action.
• Act as a primary technical support resource within the Build team, providing a source of technical expertise.
• Lead Build/Test workshops.

Requirements

• Experienced in Cloud hosting: AWS, Private Cloud hosted infrastructure.
• Experience in automation pipelines : Experienced in Jenkins build automation and configuration. GitHub.
• Proficient with hosting automation tooling : Experienced in Terraform.
• Strong understanding of workflow automation : Chorus application Design, JavaScript coding.
• Solid scripting skills : Confident in Python, PowerShell, and Groovy.
• Proficient in Oracle Linux Database : Confident in root commands and table structures. Sql.
• Collaborative and proactive approach : you thrive in cross-functional teams and can solve problems that arise.
• Security-first mindset: Have awareness of Cyber considerations and promotion controls.
• Knowledge of Support methodologies: Keen understanding of Monitoring, Logging and observatory tooling, such as Grafana.
