About the role
- Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer supporting Azure IaaS/PaaS, migrations, automation, security and networking for Antech's veterinary diagnostics infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
- Support existing cloud environment and lead cloud migration efforts
- Automate infrastructure deployments using ARM templates, Bicep, PowerShell, or Terraform
- Deploy and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
- Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure for performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and provide timely resolution, including after-hours/on-call support
- Deploy and manage Firewall for cloud and manage Palo Alto firewalls
- Configure and maintain Networks in cloud, cloud-to-cloud, and cloud-to-on-prem
- Manage identity and access using Azure Active Directory, RBAC, and Conditional Access
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies and perform regular audits
- Maintain linux and Windows servers and documentation of configurations and procedures
Requirements
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent certification
- 7 years+ of hands-on experience in managing Azure cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
- 2 year Experience with networking and Palo Alto firewalls
- 5 years experience with linux systems
- Exposure to hybrid cloud environments or on-prem to Azure migrations
- Knowledge of cost management and budgeting tools in Azure
- Experience working in ITIL-based support environments
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates for automating deployments
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Fluency in the English language
