About the role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reporting strategy to ensure asset data processes meet regulatory and organisational asset management obligations.
  • Build a deep understanding of SPEN’s asset data inventory and its implications for business performance and regulatory reporting.
  • Define and evolve a suite of KPIs focused on asset data quality, integrity, and exception management across all asset data processes.
  • Analyse and interpret reporting outputs to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in operational and data processes.
  • Oversee the creation, development, and controlled issuance of reports and dashboards, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enabling informed decision-making.
  • Support the adoption of innovative analytical tools and technologies to enhance reporting capabilities and identify opportunities for value-added initiatives.
  • Lead the preparation of presentations and responses to internal and external information requests, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders across SPEN to support collaboration and drive organisational success.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in business analytics, data reporting, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in producing detailed analysis, strategic reports, and executive-level presentations.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in the electricity distribution/transmission industry, particularly in network asset management.
  • Expertise in enterprise systems and asset data management platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and align diverse stakeholder perspectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation and analytical tools, including Power BI and Azure Synapse.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
