About the role

• Design and build secure, reusable AWS infrastructure and observability for AI/ML at MYOB; embed FinOps and enable teams to adopt platform services

Responsibilities

• Design and build the cloud foundations that empower teams across the organisation to innovate with AI—safely, at scale, and with speed
• Build secure, reusable AWS infrastructure components to support internal AI and data solution teams
• Implement platform observability with proactive monitoring and alerting for all AI and ML workloads
• Embed FinOps practices into platform design to drive cloud cost visibility and optimisation
• Stay across emerging AI tech and AWS updates to continually enhance platform capabilities
• Influence internal standards and tooling to reflect high-quality AI infrastructure
• Provide clear guidance and enablement materials to support team adoption of platform services
• Support development of innovative products, insights, and efficiencies to make advanced AI capabilities accessible, sustainable, and enterprise-ready

Requirements

• Solid experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, data infrastructure, or MLOps roles
• Strong hands-on skills with AWS services like SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Step Functions, and API Gateway
• Consistent record applying FinOps practices for cost tracking, tagging, reporting, and optimisation
• Experience deploying and running data and ML workloads in AWS environments
• Skilled in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
• Experience integrating security, compliance, and governance into cloud-native platforms
• Familiarity with emerging AI technologies such as LLMs, vector databases, and orchestration frameworks
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field and relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty) are highly desirable
