About the role

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Communicate directly with auditors and tax agents on all financial matters.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Generate and manage invoices for rig-owning companies, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Oversee and manage all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Manage withholding tax processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
  • Utilize financial ERPs to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Demonstrate proactivity and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors to manage corporate registrations, filings, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain electronic records of corporate documents.
  • Support the Executive Director with the preparation, review and distribution of board of directors' materials and resolutions as required.

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax and financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP would be beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience with financial ERPs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Experience working with international contractors.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or with rig-owning companies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance principles, company law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in document management software and electronic filing systems.
