About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Communicate directly with auditors and tax agents on all financial matters.
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
- Generate and manage invoices for rig-owning companies, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Oversee and manage all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage withholding tax processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
- Utilize financial ERPs to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Demonstrate proactivity and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors to manage corporate registrations, filings, and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
- Establish and maintain electronic records of corporate documents.
- Support the Executive Director with the preparation, review and distribution of board of directors' materials and resolutions as required.
Requirements
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on tax and financial operations.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Knowledge of US GAAP would be beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with financial ERPs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Experience working with international contractors.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or with rig-owning companies is a plus.
- Knowledge of corporate governance principles, company law and regulatory frameworks.
