Accounting: Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and documentation of business transactions.
Budgeting & forecasting: Support for planning, forecasts and reporting through data-driven analyses.
Accounts receivable & payable: Responsible for invoice verification, payment processing and receivables management.
Tax & compliance: Preparation of VAT returns and close collaboration with external tax advisors.
Audits: Point of contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring timely provision of relevant documentation.
Process optimization: Analyze existing processes and implement more efficient, digital and automated solutions.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Accounting or a comparable qualification.
At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in the Tech, Travel or SaaS sectors.
Solid knowledge of German commercial and tax law (HGB, UStG).
Experience with accounting systems such as DATEV, SAP or comparable tools.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical thinking.
Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
Independent, structured and precise working style combined with team spirit and an open attitude.
Nice to have: professional certifications (e.g., Steuerberater/tax advisor, ACCA, CPA).
Willingness to travel regularly for meetings and team events in Berlin.
