About the role
- GL Accountant handling financial accounting and assisting with tax matters at DYWIDAG. Collaborating on financial statements while optimizing accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead the financial accounting for our Czech entity.
- Fixed asset accounting for all German companies, including foreign branches.
- Contribute to the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for our German entities.
- Execute payments and collaborate on cash management.
- Support all tax matters, including VAT pre-filings and annual tax returns, in cooperation with the tax advisor.
- Prepare reports and analyses.
- Prepare statistics for German authorities.
- Participate in the continuous optimization of accounting processes.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system.
Requirements
- University degree in business administration or completed commercial training, ideally certified as a Bilanzbuchhalter (German certified accounting professional).
- (Some) professional experience in accounting.
- Very good knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS.
- Good knowledge of German tax law.
- Team player with a reliable work ethic.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English; knowledge of Polish and/or Czech is desirable.
- Confident user of MS Office and user-level experience with an ERP system (ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision).
