About the role
- Deliver individual and group guidance curriculum supporting student development
- Analyze student data and develop data-driven programs for intervention action plans
- Provide responsive services to individuals or groups on academic and personal issues
- Provide an individual planning system to guide students toward post-secondary goals
- Assist students in the acquisition of study skills, academic opportunities and benefits
- Provide a support system that strengthens the efforts of teachers, staff, and parents
- Maintain transcripts for students in caseload
- Support standardized testing program, parent education, and staff development
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems
- Flexible schedule and ability to travel for meetings throughout the state as needed
Requirements
- Residency Requirement - Ohio
- Valid State of Ohio Guidance Counselor license (K12)
- Master's degree AND 1 year previous experience in counseling and/or advisement OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Web-based search engines, and database systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Organizational skills, multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to pass required background check
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% of the time
