About the role
- Revenue Accounting Manager leading the Revenue Accounting Team at AlfaTech in San Francisco. Responsible for invoicing processes and financial statement compliance for engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and managing the Revenue Accounting Team.
- Accountable for the process of invoicing clients based on the completion of projects by company engineers and staff.
- Ensures invoicing is done according to contract to ensure invoices will be paid and company cash flow is maintained.
- Responsible for preparing invoices and recording general ledger transactions.
- Manages, leads, and coaches the Revenue Accountant and Revenue Teams as assigned.
- Oversees work produced by the Revenue Accountant and team and ensures it complies with the required standards.
- Trains and oversees employees involved in billing functions.
- Researches and resolves reinvoicing discrepancies and reconciles client accounts.
- Develops monitoring and tracking systems for billing including invoice rejections.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Deltek accounting system or similar accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Solid project accounting, financial statement accounting, and project profitability experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Proactive and resourceful.
- Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience working in a similar role.
