Researching and developing innovations in production engineering for e-mobility components. Collaborating with industry partners on projects focusing on battery production, circular economy, and materials.
Responsibilities
You will play a key role in shaping projects with industry partners from acquisition and planning through to execution (e.g., in production and process planning, prototyping, and strategy development for e-mobility).
You will investigate compelling research questions related to "battery production", with a focus on innovative process technology development for current and next‑generation batteries.
You will explore research topics in "battery components" and "Re‑X" (Re‑Use, Repair, Remanufacturing, and Recycling of batteries).
You will investigate research questions on "battery development and safety" as well as "innovative battery technologies and future product architectures".
You will develop prototypes and new monitoring, manufacturing, and testing methods as part of research and industry projects.
You will supervise students on their theses and deliver teaching sessions.
You will receive early budget and leadership responsibility and can independently shape your topics.
Requirements
You hold a completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering).
Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in consulting, development, production, or e‑mobility.
You have the ambition to develop new topics and make use of opportunities to shape your work.
You work in a structured and reliable manner, think creatively and pragmatically, and are curious and motivated to continually learn.
You are willing to travel frequently and are flexible.
You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
Benefits
Room for personal development and the opportunity to shape your own topics and ideas in the production of e‑mobility components;
A working environment in which ambitious colleagues collaborate on a common goal: making the world more sustainable;
The chance to build and continuously expand your own professional network in one of the most important fields of our time.
