QA Analyst ensuring quality and reliability of digital products at Nelson. Collaborating with teams to design and execute test cases across web applications for exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and execute manual and exploratory test cases across web platforms.
Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to ensure test coverage and clarity of acceptance criteria.
Log, track, and verify defects in Jira; write and maintain test cases in TestRail.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
Contribute to regression testing, release readiness verification, and maintenance of QA documentation.
Support the integration and ongoing improvement of automated testing (experience with Playwright or similar tools is an asset).
Apply QA best practices and maintain consistent quality standards across products.
Identify opportunities to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and team workflows.
Stay informed about product functionality, user needs, and accessibility (AODA) compliance.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in software or web application quality assurance.
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Hands-on experience with Jira, TestRail, and test case management best practices.
Working knowledge of web technologies, APIs, databases, and cross-browser testing.
Experience with Playwright, Postman, or other automation tools (an asset).
Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
