About the role

  • Plan, design, and execute manual and exploratory test cases across web platforms.
  • Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to ensure test coverage and clarity of acceptance criteria.
  • Log, track, and verify defects in Jira; write and maintain test cases in TestRail.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to regression testing, release readiness verification, and maintenance of QA documentation.
  • Support the integration and ongoing improvement of automated testing (experience with Playwright or similar tools is an asset).
  • Apply QA best practices and maintain consistent quality standards across products.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and team workflows.
  • Stay informed about product functionality, user needs, and accessibility (AODA) compliance.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in software or web application quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, TestRail, and test case management best practices.
  • Working knowledge of web technologies, APIs, databases, and cross-browser testing.
  • Experience with Playwright, Postman, or other automation tools (an asset).
  • Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
