About the role
- QA Lead managing quality assurance strategy for Sokin’s technology ecosystem in Belgrade. Shifting QA left, ensuring world-class standards in reliability, performance, and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and drive the shifting left of QA into the engineering team to eventually move this role into QA coaching as part of our “You wrote it, you run it” end-to-end engineering ownership ethos.
- Develop and execute the company-wide QA strategy encompassing automation, manual testing, and non-functional testing.
- Design and maintain automated testing frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines across web, mobile, and backend systems.
- Lead and mentor a distributed QA team; establish measurable KPIs for quality and release stability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and cloud teams to enforce quality gates throughout the SDLC.
- Oversee end-to-end testing across Sokin’s products, ensuring consistency in test coverage and defect management.
- Implement test management tools and reporting mechanisms for release validation and production readiness.
- Managing a team of QA analysts.
- Define and manage performance, security, and regression testing processes.
- Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, defect trend reporting, and test process optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA or test automation, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage automated testing solutions in complex environments.
- Strong proficiency with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman, Cypress and JMeter, Gatling or Artillery.
- Deep understanding of testing messy monoliths and microservices architectures, APIs, and mobile applications.
- Experience integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in scaling QA functions across multiple delivery teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Fintech or regulated industry experience preferred.
