Responsibilities
Ensure the safe, high-quality delivery of software in our NHS Business Unit through structured, thoughtful manual testing.
De-risking releases - ensuring confidence across clinical workflows.
Manual and automated testing - the growing complexity of the product and use cases means more structured, consistent testing is required.
Applying quality expertise - helping the team avoid regressions, ensure safety, and maintain high trust in the product.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams - including engineers, product managers, clinicians, and regulatory colleagues.
Working on patient-facing NHS software - direct clinical impact.
High-stakes delivery - ensuring confidence in each release.
Sprint-based development - mix of feature, bugfix, and compliance-focused work.
Tools and technologies - Working with Slack, Jira, Google Docs, and modern browser-based tools.
Requirements
Strong experience in manual testing of complex web and/or mobile software applications.
Has tested clinical, NHS, or regulated health software.
Ability to write and maintain structured, reusable test cases and regression packs.
Comfortable working in agile sprint teams and testing from user stories, designs, and requirements.
Familiarity with defect tracking and triage tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail).
Experience testing in a regulated, clinical, or safety-critical environment is a strong advantage.
Structured exploratory testing approaches.
Regression testing and risk-based prioritisation.
Traceability and documentation best practices in regulated environments.
Working with BDD-style user stories and acceptance criteria.
Familiarity with software release lifecycle and UAT processes.
