About the role

  • Plan, design and execute testing activities to ensure software systems meet quality standards and business requirements
  • Identify issues, document bugs and log/track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
  • Analyze requirements, specifications and technical design documents to create detailed test plans and test cases
  • Perform functional, system, integration, regression, UAT and exploratory testing
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Contribute to test automation efforts and support CI/CD/DevOps testing practices
  • Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices and prepare test reports and sign-off documentation
  • Support go-live activities including release testing and production verification

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • ISTQB Certification or equivalent
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with SQL for database validation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Azure DevOps)
  • Proven experience in software testing, QA, or a related role
  • Experience within Banking/financial services
  • Experience of Flexcube testing
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter)
  • Knowledge of API testing and tools such as SoapUI or Postman
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Practitest
