About the role
- Plan, design and execute testing activities to ensure software systems meet quality standards and business requirements
- Identify issues, document bugs and log/track defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Analyze requirements, specifications and technical design documents to create detailed test plans and test cases
- Perform functional, system, integration, regression, UAT and exploratory testing
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
- Contribute to test automation efforts and support CI/CD/DevOps testing practices
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices and prepare test reports and sign-off documentation
- Support go-live activities including release testing and production verification
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent
- Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with SQL for database validation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Proficiency in using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, Azure DevOps)
- Proven experience in software testing, QA, or a related role
- Experience within Banking/financial services
- Experience of Flexcube testing
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter)
- Knowledge of API testing and tools such as SoapUI or Postman
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Practitest
