About the role
- Project Director overseeing international large-scale projects with strategic importance in energy transition. Leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring project success from bidding to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for planning, managing and successfully delivering international large-scale projects of strategic importance (project volume > €50 million)
- Lead and develop international, internal and external multidisciplinary project teams — including in complex stakeholder environments
- Manage the project from the bidding phase through handover to the client, including bid and contract negotiations with clients and suppliers
- Ensure schedule, budget and quality objectives at the highest level with a focus on operational excellence
- Proactive risk management and confident resolution of technical, commercial and organizational challenges
- Manage communications with clients, authorities, partners and suppliers — nationally and internationally
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, civil engineering, energy engineering or a comparable qualification
- At least 10 years of experience leading large-scale projects > €50 million, ideally in industry, data centers, pharmaceutical, gigafactory or energy sectors
- Outstanding leadership skills combined with strategic vision and operational excellence
- Deep understanding of project management, contract management, project controlling, coordination of trades, installation and commissioning of plants
- Strong communication skills, negotiation expertise and confident presence at C‑level
- High resilience, decisiveness and a strong drive to succeed
- Business fluent German and English; French skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel for active on-site project management, including internationally
