About the role

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud migration and IT modernization projects, focusing on GCC and GCC High environments to ensure federal compliance
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedules while ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and task management
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates and addressing concerns
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project delivery, escalating critical issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and security frameworks (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP) and DoD/federal agency requirements related to GCC and GCC High
  • Oversee implementation of cloud migration tools (e.g., AvePoint Fly Migration Tool) and migrations of email, SharePoint, and services to GCC/GCC High
  • Provide guidance on deployment and management of SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Office 365 within GCC/GCC High
  • Manage and support the transition to GCC/GCC High, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance during migration
  • Lead project documentation efforts, including reports, governance documentation, and change management plans
  • Support process improvements and contribute to PMO best practices for secure cloud adoption and compliance management

Requirements

  • Current, interim eligibility, or previous security clearance required (interim clearances accepted)
  • U.S. citizenship is required by federal regulation
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, information systems, or a related field (equivalent experience or military training considered)
  • 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in cloud migration, cybersecurity, or IT modernization
  • Experience with Microsoft GCC and GCC High migrations, including security controls, licensing, and migration tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in highly regulated environments (e.g., DoD, federal agencies)
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Preferred: Experience with federal compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, FedRAMP)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud solutions (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with SharePoint, Power BI, or Microsoft Office 365 in GCC and GCC High environments
  • Preferred: PMP, CAPM, or ITIL certifications (or willingness to obtain)
