About the role

• Product Owner managing KI applications in science journalism for Science Media Center Germany. Responsible for project management and team collaborations in innovative journalism initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and derive suitable concepts for our projects
• Take full ownership of project management — from planning through successful implementation
• Evaluate and further develop prototypes in close collaboration with the team
• Organize and facilitate workshops for science journalists
• Present project results at conferences

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM field or equivalent qualification
• Professional experience as a (freelance) journalist, preferably in science journalism
• Experience in project management of interdisciplinary projects or in developing new journalistic offerings
• Understanding of journalistic workflows and user needs
• German language skills: at least B2 level, as we support journalism in the German-speaking region and you will be expected to actively participate in our internal conferences.
