About the role

  • Lead efforts to improve the implementation and onboarding experience for customers and partners by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including certified implementation partners and customers globally
  • Identify and resolve market problems, user scenarios, go-to-market activities, and best practices across global markets
  • Translate market-driven and internally generated business needs and requirements into actionable stories using interviews, market validation, and beta programs
  • Analyze and evaluate indirect tax challenges and develop innovative ideas based on industry experience and customer/prospect interactions worldwide
  • Build and develop world-class capabilities and relationships with clients and markets, and create thoughtful and strategic product roadmaps to solve client problems and capture market share
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with cross-functional and remote teams, sharing information and valuing diverse ideas
  • Support product development, feature validation, and prepare the organization for product releases in partnership with Development, QA, and Technical Publication teams
  • Communicate confidently and clearly to executives, management, peers, customers, and partners
  • Take ownership for product performance, reliability, and client experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product management, particularly in the context of global markets and Indirect Tax solutions
  • Strong understanding of the Indirect Tax landscape and regulatory environments on a global scale
  • Ability to translate complex market needs into clear, actionable plans and deliverables focused on improving customer and partner implementation processes and enhancing NPS
  • Self-starter who leads discussions with customers, prospects, certified implementation partners, and other internal stakeholders to gather market problems/requirements
  • Work closely with customers, partners, and other Thomson Reuters colleagues across all aspects of the business to maintain a deep and well-rounded understanding of the indirect tax market
  • Continuously review and analyze existing indirect software features and functionality to improve or further leverage solutions for the global end-to-end indirect tax market
  • Support the product development process, working closely with Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Publication teams throughout the product life cycle
  • Experience with requirements analysis and documenting requirements, use case development, information systems, business operations, and integration/design of indirect tax software solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Manager for enterprise software solutions (36+ months)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience; formal education in tax/accounting/finance is desired
  • Previous work experience leading teams and projects within a software company strongly preferred
  • Experience implementing Enterprise Software Applications and working with Systems Integrators strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment preferred
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and communication applications preferred (ADO, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and cooperative attitude; works well independently and on a team
  • Some travel required (5-10%)
