Procurement Professional managing freight procurement for ALDI’s international operations. Supporting planning, tendering, and supplier relationships within a global context.
Responsibilities
As a Procurement Professional, you are responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and optimisation of ALDI’s freight procurement
Your tasks include conducting research, preparing and managing tenders, and supporting contract negotiations
You will perform market analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
You will collaborate with international suppliers and with all ALDI SOUTH countries worldwide
You will maintain and control records to meet deadlines, ensuring that information in all systems is kept accurate and up to date
You act as the primary contact for developing existing and establishing new supplier relationships
You will analyze and document current business processes and propose cross-functional strategies
Preparing and editing contracts and presentation materials are also part of your responsibilities
Requirements
Initial experience in procurement, ideally in freight, logistics, or supply chain management
University degree or commercial vocational training completed
Experience with tendering and contracting processes, including working with Transporeon, SAP Transportation Management, and SAP Ariba, and collaborating with external suppliers and consultants
Understanding of freight cost structures, logistics networks, and sustainability initiatives within supply chain management
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for results
Proficient in MS Office
Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a strong advantage
Excellent attention to detail and a structured mindset
Independent, cooperative, and reliable working style
