- Principal Transportation Engineer designing and evaluating traffic signal operations for Arcadis, improving urban mobility through innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist team in designing, implementing and evaluating traffic signal timing and operations
- Integrate multiple sources of data, guidelines, and roadway context to improve operations
- Implement, configure and integrate Advanced Transportation Management Systems (ATMS)
- Design and analyze traffic surveys to evaluate signal timing effectiveness
- Develop documents including project scopes, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal technical teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
- 15+ years of relevant work experience in engineering
- Experience in Q-Free Signal Software and Firmware (Kinetic Signals, MaxTime, and MaxView) and Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS)
- Master’s degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
- Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 6 months
