About the role

• Coordinate and optimize media relations activities at Médecins du Monde, supporting social justice. Oversee press strategy and team management within a global NGO environment.

Responsibilities

• Would you like to join an advocacy association and take concrete action for greater social justice?
• Increase the visibility of Médecins du Monde’s activities from headquarters
• You will work within the communications team, which aims to raise awareness and strengthen Médecins du Monde’s public profile
• As Press Manager, you coordinate, supervise and optimize all media relations activities
• You are responsible for monitoring and operational implementation of the press strategy, in line with the communications department’s strategy and Médecins du Monde’s overall strategy, in relation to the priorities set by governance
• Reporting directly to the Communications Manager, you will supervise two press officers
• You will work closely with members of the communications team, governance, advocacy and operations departments, as well as with press managers and press officers across the network.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in media/press relations
• Strong command of tools for tracking press performance
• Excellent analytical and synthesis skills
• Outstanding writing skills
• Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written
• This position is not for you if:
• You do not identify with the values and advocacy stance of Médecins du Monde
• You do not closely follow national and international current affairs
• You find it difficult to maintain professional distance from sensitive topics handled by the organisation

Benefits

• Gross monthly salary: €3,627
• Fixed-term contract from 13 November 2025 to 26 May 2026
