About the role

• Platform Engineering Manager leading the engineering foundation for ticketing solutions at TixTrack. Overseeing cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and ensuring developer productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Mentor the Platform Engineering team (Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Developer Experience, and SRE)
• Execute the Platform Strategy by partnering with the CTO to translate company goals into a tactical plan and executing the platform roadmap
• Scale Cloud Infrastructure (Azure), overseeing its design, implementation, and management to ensure it is scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective
• Mature DevOps & Continuous Delivery by guiding the implementation of DevOps principles across the entire engineering department
• Champion Developer Experience (DevEx), creating a seamless and productive experience for product developers
• Establish SRE Capabilities to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of our platform and applications
• Empower Product Teams by working closely with them to understand their challenges and provide necessary tools, training, and support
• Ensure Security and Compliance for our platform and applications

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software or systems engineering
• 3+ years in a leadership role managing platform, DevOps, or SRE teams
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies (preferably Azure)
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management
• Proven ability to build and scale high-performance, highly available platforms
• Experience with SRE principles and practices, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong time management and multitasking skills, balancing multiple projects and priorities
