About the role
- Platform Engineer leading lifecycle management of MOM and AMHS systems across Kubernetes clusters in semiconductor industry. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure operational reliability in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the lifecycle management (architecture, deployment, and tuning) of Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) / Automated Material Handling System (AMHS) systems across Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE)
- Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines and Ansible automation to achieve a "hands-off" operational state
- Own the performance and scaling of mission-critical production databases, specifically ClickHouse, MS SQL, etc
- Architect and enforce Zero Trust security, IAM, and secrets management with KMS within the OT/manufacturing network
- Act as the primary technical lead for transitioning ownership from external vendors to internal teams, establishing the "Gold Standard" for documentation and operational procedures
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing distributed, high-uptime systems in 24/7 manufacturing or mission-critical environments, preferably within the semiconductor industry or related sectors
- Excellent ability to debug complex, distributed systems and a "systems-thinking" approach to root cause analysis
- Deep technical knowledge of Kubernetes internals, container security, and service mesh orchestration
- Experience managing high-performance databases, especially ClickHouse or similar analytical databases
- Direct experience with MES, Equipment Integration (EI), AMHS, EDA, or fab environments is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in German is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field
