About the role
- Pharmacy Technician responsible for reading and entering prescriptions accurately in a remote setting. Directing clarifications and ensuring timely receipt of medications for patients.
Responsibilities
- Accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our system
- Ensuring patients receive correct prescriptions in a timely manner
- Directing questionable prescriptions to prescriber for clarification
- Entering complete prescription information once clarification is received
- Offering solutions for entering patient and prescription information
- Faxing physicians for clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
- Performing other pharmacy functions as required during workflow support
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law
- Minimum of 3 months related pharmacy technician experience
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas
- Secure room for quiet work environment
- Must have your own internet provider
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
